Dr. Amrita Rakesh is an eminent Radiation Oncologist having an experience of more than 7 years in this field. She studied and completed her MBBS from Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Allahabad, affiliated with the Reputed King George Medical University, Lucknow. She is an alumnus of Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Jaipur, Rajasthan from where she completed her DNB in Radiation Oncology in 2019. She gave her further services at “All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna” for a period of 3 years as Senior Resident followed by Max Super speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi as Attending Consultant for a year.

She has a vast experience in working with wide array of technologies, ranging from Cobalt to Linear Accelerator (Siemens, Varian Clinac ix, Elekta Versa HD, Novalis, Tomotherapy) and Eclipse version 10, Oncentra, MONACO treatment planning systems. She is highly skilled in various techniques of Teletherapy including Conformal Therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Rapid Arc, 4D Respiratory Gating, Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRS/SBRT). She has been trained in Stereotactic radiation therapy SRT and SRS with vast experience in treating brain tumours and skull base lesions. She is highly trained in High dose rate brachytherapy like intracavitary, vaginal, interstitial, intraluminal etc. for various cancers. She has extensive experience in dealing with variety of cancers such as Head and Neck cancers, Cervical cancers, Endometrial cancers, soft tissue sarcoma, esophageal , various genito-urinary and breast malignancies etc.

She also has a strong interest in academic work and actively participates in post-graduate teaching, research, reviews, and case studies and clinical radiobiology teaching course. She is a full-time member of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) and also holds membership of European Society of Medical College (ESMO). She has published many original articles and case reports in various reputed Journals.

She also served as a key part of the organizing committee for the CME on Breast Cancer Care, which focused on developing methods for treating breast cancer in areas with little resources, BMCON (2017) where internationally renowned speakers focused on management and contouring, BIFICON (2021) , World Cancer Day, and many others. She has also been invited as faculty and speaker in various national conferences.
